Whitfield Excavations purchased their hydraulic concrete crusher in 2011. There had been more enquirers as to whether it was a service that we provided.
The decision to go ahead with the purchase of the crushing attachment for the 20tonne excavator means the not only can we recycle concrete waste that is better for our environment reducing landfills but the qualities of crushed concrete final product has proved to be an excellent base for many applications.
The supplied picture is an excellent example of what crushed concrete can be applied to. This particular job was required through the 2011 Swan Hill Floods. The couple had just completed building their new home when the spring rains began. It became impossible for them and their family to gain access accept by means of a 4WD, to the residence as the driveway had not been complete.
Our team arrived and delivered the crushed concrete product directly on to the muddy track. We were able to grade the crushed concrete with the 4WD tractor without further bogging and drive on the finished surface immediately. The fine concrete dust within the rock combined with the moisture from the muddy track produced excellent compaction allowing the surface to be used immediately.
